The Lyndhurst High School Music Association was founded in 1983 and originally called the "Lyndhurst High School Band Parent Association." Through the years, the organization grew in number, and due to its determination, dedication and fundraising efforts, it was able to help facilitate scholarships, music programs, varsity jackets, trips, dinners, love, and encouragement to all our band members.
In 2006, the Lyndhurst Band Parent Association underwent a name change to the "Lyndhurst Music Association." With this change came the addition of our Chorale and Color Guard parents. In 2022, the Association achieved its 501(c)(3) status as a not for profit charity and continues to grow and support the students of the Lyndhurst High School Band, Chorale, and Color Guard in their pursuit of all things music.
We look forward to continuing our work with our amazing staff, students, and parent partners in helping our children grow within the organization.
The mission of the Lyndhurst Music Association shall be to provide financial and service support to the students of the Music Program in the Lyndhurst, New Jersey Public School System. The Lyndhurst Music Association is not intended to displace the responsibility of the Lyndhurst Board of Education to provide items such as instruments, uniforms, staff salaries, and music.
